At Synergy Gymnastics, we are committed to providing a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment for all gymnasts, coaches, volunteers, and visitors. We believe every child and young person has the right to train, learn, and grow in a setting free from bullying or intimidation of any kind.
Our Anti-Bullying Policy underpins our values and processes in the rare occasion that an issue can arise.

What Is Bullying?
Bullying is repeated behaviour that is intended to hurt someone emotionally or physically. It can take many forms, including:
- Physical – hitting, pushing, or unwanted physical contact
- Verbal – name-calling, teasing, threats, or offensive remarks
- Social – spreading rumours, exclusion, or deliberate isolation
- Cyberbullying – using digital devices, messages, or social media to cause harm
Bullying is not tolerated in any form at Synergy Gymnastics — whether from gymnasts, staff, or parents.
Our Approach to Preventing Bullying
We believe that early education and strong communication are key to preventing bullying. Our approach includes:
- Promoting a culture of respect, teamwork, and kindness in every session
- Educating children on positive behaviour, empathy, and inclusion
- Ensuring coaches are trained to identify and respond to bullying behaviours
- Providing clear reporting procedures for anyone experiencing or witnessing bullying
- Taking immediate and appropriate action where bullying is identified
Reporting Bullying
If you or your child is being bullied, or if you have concerns about the behaviour of others, please speak to a coach or contact a member of our safeguarding team.
We treat all reports seriously and confidentially, and we will work quickly and sensitively to resolve any issues.

Commitment to a Positive Environment
Synergy Gymnastics is more than just a club — we’re a community. We ask all members, parents, and staff to help us maintain a positive environment by:
- Encouraging open dialogue and mutual respect

Together, we can make gymnastics a safe, inspiring, and empowering experience for every child.
